Nevada Test Site facility named in honor of Carlos Saenz

On June 14 members of the WSI-Nevada Test Site Team gathered at the WSI Training Academy complex at the site to participate in a dedication ceremony of the new live fire shoot house in honor of their coworker and friend Carlos Noe Saenz. Carlos, a member of the site's protective force, was killed in action in May of 2006 while performing military duties in Iraq.

Many of Carlos' family members and friends attended the ceremony, including his wife, son, and parents. Also attending were WSI leaders and representatives from Sen. John Ensign's office, the NNSA and the Nevada National Guard.

During the very moving ceremony, Carlos' wife, Nanette, and his mother, Joaquina, unveiled the memorial placque formally dedicating the new facility in his name.
