WSI-Nevada Test Site employees helped others have Happy Thanksgiving

The Wackenhut Services Inc. Nevada Test Site team recently partnered with the Clark County School District to assist families who otherwise might not have been able to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner.

WSI employees created Thanksgiving Food Baskets to contribute non-perishable food items to area families. The WSI Food Basket donation has become a tradition at the site with different WSI sections engaging in a friendly competition to design and decorate the baskets.

WSI-JPL holds earthquake preparation exercise

The possibility of a major earthquake is something never too far from the minds of Southern Californians. Wackenhut Services is helping address the concerns of the 5,000 Jet Propulsion Lab employees who work in a facility located on top of the Sierra Madre fault by assisting in the preparation and planning for dealing with such an event.

Recently, WSI Vice President of Homeland and International Security Sam Brinkley and his team of Jennifer Pence and Jack McClanahan conducted a half day table top exercise with senior JPL and contract personnel. As a result the lab personnel have a road map to become better prepared to handle a catastrophic earthquake and keep this important site safe and secure.
