United Way of Aiken County surpasses goal

Congratulations to the United Way of Aiken County on surpassing the $2.5 million goal it established for its 2008 campaign.

The Aiken Standard recently lauded the organization, led by Aiken County President Sharon Rogers and Campaign Chair Sharon Hagan, for their efforts. More than $2.68 million was raised to support the 32 United Way agencies in the county.

The Standard also commended several local businesses, including Wackenhut Services, Inc. - Savannah River Site. The company provided the services of Maria Defever to assist with the 10-week campaign.
